The purpose of the Black Business Vendor Showcase (#BBVS ) is to connect local Black-owned businesses to The Village KC, and give them a platform to network and sell their goods/services during the pandemic. Since 2020, we have served over 300 Black-owned businesses/Black-led organizations in the greater Kansas City area.
In addition to hosting the BBVS, VKC is intentional about hiring Black-owned businesses for our events, seeking Black instructors for our programs, and partnering with other Black-led organizations to increase our impact with VKC youth.
